Dulquer Salmaan was born on either July 28, 1983, or 1986, in Kochi. He is the youngest son of legendary actor Mammootty. After completing his primary education at Toc-H Public School in Kochi and secondary education at Sishya School in Chennai, he earned a bachelor's degree in Business Management from Purdue University. He then worked at an IT firm in Dubai. However, feeling bored by corporate life, he decided to pursue acting. To prepare for his new career, he attended a three-month course at the Barry John Acting Studio in Mumbai.
